Short North Mama

You should send your sister over to www.girlmom.com.

The girls over there are super cool: Pro-choice and supportive of whatever option a girl decides is right for her situation whether it is parenting, abortion, or adoption.

We could all use a little bit of support like that.

Wish her good luck from me,

cheryl b.

I am so glad I found your site! I have always been pro-choice and have been having a hard time dealing with the fact that I talked my 16 year old sister OUT of having an abortion. I knew that it wasn't what she really wanted and that she would hate herself forever if she did it just to get away from her abusive boyfriend. After assuring her that I(and my husband) would do everything in our power to keep him from hurting her she broke up with him. She and I did recieve threatening phone calls, but otherways he has left her alone. She is now eagerly awaiting the birth of her daughter in may, but I have wondered if I was right to try and change her mind. After reading your site I am absoluteley positive that if she had had the chance to talk to the women at your clinic that she would NOT have had an abortion. I want to comend you for the work you have done for womens rights and thank you for shareing your stories with us.
p.s. I am 23, married with a beautiful 2 year old son and lost a much wanted pregnancy at 8 weeks. That was almost 2 months ago and we are trying again. As much as we want another child I cannot begin to express how glad I am to know that I have the right to terminate a pregnancy.
