Last Friday, the 13th, there were many odd needs at the clinic but the strangest one of all was the rabbit. One of the secretaries called me to say someone had come to the door to say there was a white rabbit in the parking lot that needed to be cleaned up. I'm thinking, "So is it an illegally parked VW?" I wandered the lot and came upon a dead bunny right up next to where our most vociferous protestor usually stands. It looked like someone's pet had gotten out and frozen to death. I went back into the clinic to get a red biohazard bag to put it in. (I guessed that dead bunnies go in biohazard bags...) As I bent down to pick it up with the bag, I thought, "Hey, wait a minute! You're not supposed to touch unusual objects outside abortion clinics! What if this is a bunny bomb!??" So there I was nudging it with my foot and hoping it wasn't a suicide bunny. Life is never, ever dull here.
