The History of the Pregnancy Test

Every woman I meet with has her own "how I found out" pregnancy story. It's become a rite of passage. Most women do two, three, four tests before actually believing the results and I've come to believe that the single, most popular place to take a pregnancy test in America today is the Ladies Restroom at Walmart.

Check out this fascinating site about the history of pregnancy testing: The Thin Blue Line.

Oh my goodness! I know someone who took their pregnancy test at Wal-Mart's ladies bathroom! It struck me as really strange when she told me. What's up with that? I think I'd prefer to be at home but I can definitely understand why someone who will need to keep it a secret might need to do it somewhere else. Come to think of it, Wal-Mart is probably the perfect place because they have the handicap bathroom stalls that might give you a bit of space if you need it.
